Our crawler

Who. mavielocale.ch is published by [PRÉNOM NOM 1] and [PRÉNOM NOM 2], [ADRESSE], [email protected]. It is a calendar of public events in the canton of Vaud, free for the public.

What the crawler does. Once a night, it reads the event pages of public websites (municipalities, associations, cultural venues) and extracts the essential information about each event: title, date, time, venue, organiser, price, address of the original page. It copies neither the descriptive texts, nor the images, nor personal data.

How it behaves. It identifies itself as MaVieLocaleBot/1.0 (+https://mavielocale.ch/bot). It respects each site’s robots.txt file, including the requested delays, sends only one request at a time and circumvents no access protection.

Stop being read. Add to your robots.txt:

User-agent: MaVieLocaleBot
Disallow: /

The crawler will stop on its next visit. You can also write to us at [email protected]: we remove a site, an organiser or an event within five working days.

Your data. If a listed event mentions information about you personally, write to [email protected]: we remove it and reply to you. See also our privacy policy.

Better than the crawler. Publish your events directly on mavielocale.ch (submission form planned after 30 November 2026) or tell us your RSS/iCal feed: your information will be more complete and more up to date.
